SCS successfully completed a cattle guard fabrication project for the Ministry of Transport and Transit, supporting key infrastructure across British Columbia’s interior.
This project included the fabrication of a total of 25 cattle guards, consisting of 12 units measuring 4.8 metres and 13 units measuring 7.3 metres. Each unit was manufactured to meet stringent durability and performance requirements for long-term use in high-traffic and rural environments.
All cattle guards were prepared with a sandblasting process to SP10 standards. The units were then coated with one application of Cathacoat 302HB, providing a robust, high-build protective layer designed to withstand harsh environmental conditions.
These cattle guards are designated for Infrastructure BC projects across Williams Lake, Kamloops, and Quesnel, contributing to improved safety and livestock control along transportation corridors in these regions.
SCS continues to deliver reliable, high-quality steel solutions for infrastructure projects throughout British Columbia, supporting our partners with precision fabrication and durable finishing systems.
